Introducing the All New Mitsubishi I-MiEV at 112 MPGe!!
What is MPGe?
MPGe stands for "miles per gallon equivalent." It's a new ranking system
developed by the EPA to measure the efficiency of electric/alternative
energy vehicles
This means that the energy present in one gallon of gasoline (if you
converted that gallon into electricity) can send the Mitsubishi i a
whopping 112 miles.
That's why we scored first-place honors in the EPA's annual Fuel Economy Guide for 2012
What does MiEV stand for?
Mitsubishi Innovative Electric Vehicle (MiEV) technology
the central
MiEV operating system constantly monitors and
optimizes the flow of energy throughout the car
MiEV technology creates
smooth and constant acceleration
Simply put, MiEV
is an automatic copilot that ensures all systems are,
well, green
100% Electric!
It will never burn a drop of gasoline
or emit one single molecule of exhaust gas from its tailpipe
the internal combustion gasoline engine has been
entirely replaced with a clean, efficient electric motor
Zero on-road emissions!
Get The Most out of Every Charge
The stunning dashboard offers easy-to-read feedback, letting you know when your driving is most efficient
Regenerative brakes convert the energy from deceleration into electricity and recharge the battery as you drive
The shift selector offers a choice of three driving modes. Choose
between; maximum fun, maximum economy and maximum regenerative braking.
Charging Options
1. Standard portable charging cable:
The Mitsubishi i includes a convenient, portable charging cable that plugs
into a standard 120V household outlet
From empty, the 120V charging method gives you a
nice, full battery in about 22.5 hours
It's important to make sure that outlet is rated for at least 15 amperes
2. Optional Home Charging Dock:
240V wall-mounted quick-charger gives you a full charge in just 7 hours
Essentially, the 240V charger is your personal "fueling" station
This is our recommendation for fast and convenient home charging
3. Public Quick Charge Port:
our Mitsubishi i can be equipped with an optional public
quick-charger port on the driver's side of the car
This port
accepts the ultra-efficient public chargers (CHAdeMO protocol
- Level 3)
