2012 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport Labeled 'Top Safety Pick'

The 2012 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport has received the highest safety award available; it has been named a "Top Safety Pick" by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) after rigorous testing. Testing methods include a side impact test, a rear crash protection test, a frontal offset test, and a roof strength test. Ratings are labeled as "Good," "Acceptable," "Marginal," or "Poor." To become a Top Safety Pick, a vehicle must earn a "Good" rating in all four tests.
